In person or online
Counselling sessions are 40-50mins weekly, at the same time.
Initially, we will meet together with your parents or guardians. I provide a safe place for everyone to meet me, ask questions, and gain an understanding of how the therapeutic process works.
Our sessions will be confidential unless you are at risk of harm to yourself or others. I also break confidentiality if there are child protection concerns. Otherwise, I will not disclose what you talk about during your sessions. If you want me to facilitate a conversation with your parents / guardians I’m happy to do that.
I usually recommend 6 sessions to give therapy a chance to take effect and after 6 sessions we review and see how you are getting on.
Each session will be different and depends largely on what you want to bring to the session. The end goal is to help you resolve any issues that concern you. This is achieved by providing you with a safe and confidential space to talk through things and by giving you the tools that will help you cope and feel better.
